I have a heart for my God: I am a follower of the person and teachings of Jesus Christ. My faith in Him has had a profound effect on my life; past, present, and future.
I have a heart for my family: Michelle, my wife of 15 years and MSW pursuer. Kaitlyn, my teenage ballerina daughter. Elijah, my fireball musician of a son. And Champ, our loyal canine friend.
I have a heart for people: I love spending time sharing life & truth with people over a good meal or cup of coffee. For me, there is great fun in the swapping of stories, both marvelous & mundane. Stories shape us. Knowing your story, as well as you knowing mine, makes us partners in the human condition.
I have a heart for teaching & shepherding: I love to speak, teach, share, & instruct others about the great insights of faith, forgiveness, fitness, film, frivolous facts, and everything in between. It is a true thrill to help the ‘religiously weary’ and the ‘there-must-be-more-than-this’ generation discover the wonders of listening, trusting and responding {via relationship} to our great God — especially via spiritual direction.
I have a heart for fitness: Whether it’s cycling outside on the road, leading a spin class indoors, swimming laps in the pool, or chatting about nutrition, or exercise in general– fitness has truly become a love.
I have a heart for writing: I am a person who enjoys writing of most any kind; novels, creative non-fiction, journaling, free-lance topical work, and even newspaper reporting. For fun I am developing a creative non-fiction work as well as a fiction novel with a close friend.
I have a heart for hobbies: I love playing guitar, watching movies, cooking, ‘good’ food, and a Starbucks Decaf Grande Americano coffee (especially if you’re buying).
