Back to the Blog

2010
01.04

Well, it’s been a digital forever since I last posted on my blog.  I’ve had a lot happen since July 11th.

  • Lost a bit more weight, gain some back during holidays
  • Rode bike a lot more (stats coming tomorrow)
  • Wrecked my bike pretty significantly (25 mph downhill… got knocked out)
  • Met some new friends through cycling (and lost 2 cycling partners to a NC move)
  • Finished up my Journey Experiences, cycle 1 (tli.cc for info)
  • Found a great Taco Shop… especially on Tuesdays.  Say hello to Lino if you go!
  • Got sick, got depressed, got lazy, got over it (mostly…)
  • Taught in Christmas production at Big Valley Grace
  • Took 2 weeks off… visited family in Phoenix
  • Did I mention the Holiday eating
  • Watched a bunch of football, Avatar & Invictus
  • Typed this (waiting, I’m still typing this)
  • and more…

But, all the while I wanted to type and keep up with this thing.  Scott, a good friend, wrote about a similar thing the other day; the things we start.

Life comes fast, but I want to maintain the discipline of capturing a moment, reflecting on it, and processing through the pen (digitally speaking of course).  So the blog is back.  It has been devoted to quite a few weight and cycling as of recently.  And while those are still going to be part of this page (because it’s part of my life), the spectrum is going to get a bit broader.

Things to watch for these coming weeks:

  • Riding stats for last 19 months
  • My HUGE ambitions for 2010 (and a brief reflection of 2009′s goals)
  • My family and their goals
  • Review of a great new book… and thoughts on 2 others I’m reading
  • My take of football (yep… deal with it)
  • The Journey, take 2
  • Plus some metaphorical musings as well

Hang around with me… post a comment or two… buy me a coffee (did I type that), and we’ll talk.
